WEDDINGS.

PETTERSEN—BLOCKLY. All Saints’ Church was the scene of a pretty wedding yesterday ailernoon, when Myra Ettie # fourth daughter* of Mr and Mrs J. H. Blockly, of Palmerston North, was married to Eric, eldest son of Mrs Pettersen, Christchurch. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of ivory brocaded crepe-do chine, draped to one side, and a panel, which fell from the side of her frock, formed the train, being* edged with marabout trimming. She wore a handsome embroidered veil, which was worn off her face and held in place with orange blossom. Her bouquet was composed of wihte flowers and maiden-hair fern. She was attended by two bridesmaids —her sister, Miss Octavia Blockly t who wore a frock of salmonpink shot taffeta, with band of silver tissue and carried a bouquet of pink flowers; and Miss Alice Pettersen, sister of the bridegroom, who wore a frock of Nile green shot taffeta, with a silver band, and carried a bouquet of lemon coloured flowers. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr Ralph Pettersen, as best man, and Mr Duncan Sinclair, as groomsman. Rev. W. Fancourt was the officiating clergyman. Mr Runncles presided at the organ. After die ceremony, Mr and Mrs Blockley entertained their guests, Mrs Blockley wearing a navy marocain frock, with smart navy hat and black fur coat. Mrs Williams (sister of the bride) wore a nigger brown costume with hat to tone; Miss N. Blockley, frock of green knitted silk, smart tabac brown hat; Miss D. Blockley, knitted costume in. shades of brown, and hat to match; Miss Pettersen (Christchurch) a navy coat braided in grey, with grey hat en suite. The bride and bridegroom left later for the honeymoon, the bride travelling in a smart coat frock of cinnamon brown cloth, with hat to match, and brown fur coat.
