MOTOR LORRY DESTROYED.

BENZINE CONSIGNMENT LOST. A motorist travelling fro.n Foxton to Palmerston North to-day observed on the roadside a motor lorry which had been destroyed by fire. The vehicle had apparently been engagod in carrying a consignment of petrol from the port to this centre, and had by some means caught alight. Ihe outbreak had evidontly taken place some hours previously, but tho debris was still smouldering, while some petrol tins were silent witnesses of the incident. The chassis of tho vehicle pointed to the lorry having been ono of the approximate value of £I4OO.
