EDUCATION BOARD’S DECISION. Tho Wanganui Education Board decided at its usual meeting last evening to accept tho suggestion by tho board’s senior inspector (Mr Stuckey) that tho term lrolidays for this year commence on August 15 and terminate on August 29; that, in addition to the King’s Birthday and Labour Day, school committees be authorised to grant only one day’s holiday (or two half-days); that no extension of the school hours or curtailment of tho dinner hour bo permitted; that teachers and committees be informed that strict observance of theso regulations is required.
