Results: Diggers’ Handicap, six furlongs.—• Prince Charleroi, 9.5, 1; Probate, 8.0, 2; Gaslight, 7.3, 3. Scratched: Pickaninny, Some Abbey, The Reaver and Bonny Clan. A great race; won by a head, half a head between second and third. THE HAWK AND GLOAMING. TO MEET AT HAWKE’S BAY. Received April 22, 11.15 a.in. SYDNEY, April 22. The Hawk is returning to New Zealand to meet Gloaming at the Hawke’s Bay meeting. The owner, Mr J. Cameron, is not taking Pike, his usual jockey. He will pick up a local jockey on arrival in the Dominion .—Press Association.
