WONDERFUL LIGHTHOUSE.
HELP FOR AEROPLANE SERVICE PARIS, April 20. A thousand million candle-power revolving lighthouse at Montafriquo, near Dijon, was lighted for the first time. It is intended to assist the aeroplane service between Paris and Algiers. When the weather is clear the rays will be visible within a radius of 500 miles, including Brussels, Dieppe, Lille, Milan and Frankfurt.
The lighthouse cost 1,500,000 francs and is 17 times more brilliant than the 00,000,000 candle-power liglithouse at New Jersey.—A. and N.Z. cable.
