ATTACKED BY A BULL.

FARMER’S LUCKY ESCAPE. DOG COMES TO THE RESCUE. NEW PLYMOUTH, April 17. A well-known farmer, residing at Monmouth road, Air Harry Hunt, had a vary narrow escape from, serious injury last night. While engaged in his usual farm work he was knocked down by a bull, which endeavoured to gore him. Fortunately Air Hunt had the presence of mind to catch hold of the ring in the animal’s nose and thus prevented it from using its horns. The enraged animal then altered its tactics, and by using its weight attempted to crush Air Hunt, who could not long have maintained the unequal contest. At the crucial moment, however, his dog came on tho scene, and courageously attacking the bull, succeeded in driving it off. Air Hunt escaped with very little injury.
