Prove All Things.
PALMERSTON PEOPLE LOOK FOll PROPER PROOF. To win a wager an English marquis stood on London bridge and offered British sovereigns for live shillings. He could not find a customer. It's not to be wondered at; the public apparently look askance at any proposition where the proposer is apparently a financial loser without any direct or indirect gain. Fraudulent schemers have often been successful, and in these days sceptics want better proof than the word of a stranger. No evidence can be stronger than the testimony of friends and neighbors of people we know. Here is a case of it :— Mrs L. Johnson, Ferguson-strc»t, Palmerston North, says:—"For years I have been in very delicate health, and I fancy that most of my troubles were caused by disordered kidneys. I had agonising pains in the small of my back, and I was so run down generally that I had difficulty in getting about. The pains kept me from stooping and I was awfully afflicted with headaches and giddiness as well. I used many medicines and saw doctors, but they did me very little good. It is some time ago now since I saw Doan s J3achache ney Pills advertised and I got some at Whiteford's Pharmacy. They did me a lot of good. In fact the relief I obtained by taking them was so great jthat at times I forgot to take them. They are far superior to anything I have ever taken before. I a-m now quite free of the pain -in the back, headaches and giddiness and I feel quite energetic. I mean to keep the pills by me, however, in case I should need them again." , Take no substitute. Remember it is Doan's Backache Kidney Pills which Mrs Johnson recommends and if you suffer as she did you want the same remedy. Therefore see that the full name is on the wrapper and that the word 'Backache' is in the name. Doan's Backache Kidney Pills are Bnld by all chemists and storekeepers at 3s per box (6 boxesi 16a 6d) or will be posted on receipt of price by Foster-McClellan and Co., 76 Pitt-street, Sydney, N.S.W. But be sure they ARE Doan s.
