Football Roughs.
(To tho Editor). Slit, —In your issue of 10tli insfc, I understand the following appeared;— " The reported miubehaviour in a railway carriage when a football team was returnrng to Eitham from Stratford a fortnight ago, is to be made the subject of Court proceedings, and aext Thursday one of the barrackers will bo called to answer a charge of uuing obscene language." The comp who set up this paragraph (presumably culled from another paper) has been grossly careless, as it is a New Plymouth team and not an Elthain one that has struck trouble, and I trust you will make a correction. 'The behaviour of Elthaux teams whilst travelling has always boon the very beat. Recently one* of our teams journeyed to PalmerHtou North, and I have letters from Messrs H. P. Mullor (secretary M.B.F. U.) and J. Hurley (in whoso hotel the team stayed), testifying to the excellent conduct* of the Eitham team whilst in Palmcrstan N.—l am, etc., F. E. llakdv, Hon. Sec. E.F.C. Elthain, May 80th. [The paragraph, as printed, was taken from an exchange.— En. M.E.S. 5
