The newspaper Tribune admits that the repatriation'of the Chinese is a complete failure Every consideration of honour had compelled the Liberal leaders to give effect to the drastic reforms enunciated in their election speechs. Otherwise the disappointment of the party would have been extreme and a reckoning would have been exacted correspondingly heavy.
