LYTTELTON, May UO

The magisterial enquiry mto ino capsizing of the schooner Ronga opened at Lytielton this morning. Mr lver,owner, and Mr Lane, builder of tho vessel, deposed that she was stable and wellfound. Mr Paine, mate of the Gertie, aescribed the picking up of the derelict. Captain Willis, surveyor to Lloyds register, deposed that the Ronga was safe if properly ballasted. He strongly favoured the plans of vessels to bo built being submitted to a competent authority for approval.
