Battleship Ashore.

(By Electric Telegraph - Copyright). (Per Press Association.) Received May 31, at 8.35 a.m. LONDON, May 30. The battleship Montagu is ashore at Shutter Point, on Luhdy Island, Devonshire. The accident occurred m a fog. The vessel is reported to be badly The crews are safe. Assistance has been sent.

The Montagu was built in 1901, has 16 guns, and is 14,000 tons h.p. She steams 19 knots a hour and is a firstclass battleship, usually attached to the Channel fleet. Her officers are: Captain T. B. Adair and Commander G. Ji. S. Petch.
