Fires

(Per Prets Association). WHANGAREI, May 28. A fire at the farm of Joseph lianrntn, Kaimamakari, Whangarei, on Saturday destroyed several outbuildings, a large quantity of stored produce, a valuable assortment of tools and implements, a young horse and three calves. The damage is estimated at £500. There was uo in sura ace for the first time m twenty years. The outbreak is attributed to persons sleeping in the barn. ASHJJI7RTON, May 28. About tiro o'clock on Sunday morning a goods .shed at .Ealing Hag .station was totally destroyed by fire. The shed contained about 40 bags of oats, a seed cleaner, and a number of permanent way tools and materials, which were all destroyed. The police are making enquiries.
