(To the Editor.) Sin,-Could you through the columns of your paper inform me whether there is in. Palmerstqn a Chess club or similar institution ? v And if there is such, could you give me the place and nights of its meeting, or the name of its secretary? If you ,can do this you would confer a great benefit on me as I am a total, stranger to the town. Thanking you in anticipation, I am, etc., -•. ■ "Chess."
