Coarse crossbred wools, higher by 5 to 1\ per cent, except shabby and dingy. Prices ail round are rather higher than last scries' closing ratcH. Total colonial wools available, including old stocks, 166.000 bales. Out of tho net quantity available for sale 01,000 bales have been sold for Home consumption, 57,000 bales tor tho Continent, 9000 bales for Amcrica, leaving 9000 bales to be carried forward to next series. Butter (London, 24th May)— Danish butter higher by 2 kroner (about 2s <JJ) per cvvt, in consequenccof active demand in Germany ; consequently good demand for strictly fine quality, but second class quality any change of price is in favour of buyers. The total import* of butter into the United Kingdom for the week ending the 19th inst. amounted to 82,000 cwt, and tho snmo quantity was imported during toe corresponding week of 1905.
