« —, Ao interesting hockey match was played at Feathcrsfcon on Saturday, when the ladies' team met ami defeated by 5 goals to 4 a team of the sterner sex, who were handicapped by reason of having to wear skirts and use one hemd. The " cuts *' of the " now women " were very amusing, and the evolutions which some oC them went through will be long remembered, The length ot the skirts was the means of making the wearers bite tfao dust more than once, causing muoli laughter. The game wm somewhat fast, and aa above slated the girls were equal to the occasion, and defeated! their " imitators " by the margin of one goal.
