Hudson and'Eastlier report having held a very successful sale of dairy stock, etc., at Levin on account o£ tho executors ;ot .the late V. C. Ransom-. The attendance was large, buyers being present from Palinerstop, Hutt, Rongotea and Feildmg. A complete clearance was effected, and prices were high. Cows to calve early made up to £9 2s 6d, others £4> 12s 6d to £8, dry and late calvers £3 12s 6d, heifers £2 6s to £2 17s, calves 8s 6d, trap mare £21 15s, 2yr-old filly £19, foals £7 5s to j6B. A feature of the sale was the high price obtained for the growing crop 3, hay and produce that was offered, every line meeting with a ready sale at a good figure. All the implements and sundries that were submitted to auction were cleared at good prices.
