A Colonel's Excuse. (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright). Per Press Association. Received Mav 24, at 8.44 a.m. LONDON, May 28. Before the War Stores Commission inquiry, Colonel G. E. Hamnett, of the Army Service Corps, admitted receiving £200 from James Morgan, the army contractor. He explained that he was temporarily demoralised by South African life.
