Burnt at Sea
(By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) iPer Press Association.) LONDON, May 20. Tim barque Piteairn Island, bound from Wellington to London, was burnt in latitude 52 south and "longitude 00 west. The captain, an officer, and ten of the crew landed at Port Maulua, but the first otlieer aud eight men in another boat are miesmg. The estimated insurances cf the Piteairn Island are A.120,000. WELLINGTON, May 20. Following were the officers and crew of the Piteairn Island :—II. .1. Fit tcher, iiastc-r: C. H. Dryland and T. Heron, mates; A. Johnston, carpenter ; A. Anderson, sailmaker; W. Ludin, cool; ; J. Ilagan, I'. A. Kcarns, M. Madden, P. Carroll, J. Seiin, C, Aboiine, J. Dolao, T. Tailan, J. Wil ' iiams, R. McKemue, F. Hayward, J. ■ Clarke, able seamen ; W. Waddilovo and 0. Lamuiir?, ordinary seamen ; W. Kearas, cabin boy. Waddiiove is a son of Captain Waddiiove, of the Torgauton. lifunbert's mother resides in Wellington. The cargo consisted of 5410 bales of wool, 758 bales of tow, 5000 horns, .'MO tons of scrap iron. Of above 2011 bales of wool and the >»crap iron was taken in at Duuedm, ana the balance at Wellington. Total insurance, £109.360.
