Accidents and Fatalities.

(Per Press Association.) THAMES, May 10. A rather .serious accident occurred this afternoon lo a boy, the son of Mr Patterson (who recently arrived here from Gisborne in connection with the Fuller's Earth Co. The boy received a severe kick oil the head from a horse, and was conveyed to the hospital. Au examination of the injury showed the skull to be fractured, and an operation had to be performed. The boy is in a critical condition. EKETAHUNA, May 10. A lad named Russell met with a serious accident to-day. It appears that a man was riding a bicycle down a hill in front of the police station when he collided with Russell. The latter had his head severely cut and bruised, Dr Chadwiclc attended to the injuries, which are considered lo be of a serious nature.
