Wool, Skin and Hide Sale.
Abraham and Wilhama report At our monthly «ale yeateiday we offered a catalogue of 10 bales and odd bag lota of wool, WOO skins, 520 hides, tallow, horse hair, etc. Wool and skins sold at ruling rates. Hides sold rather better than at late sales, realising on an average 5d per lb. We quote :— Wool X B lleece, 9 : |d to 10] d ; lambs, 9id tolO]d ; dead, 7]d to 9d ; crutchmgs, s|d to 7id ; pieces, o|d to 6|d ; locks, 4Ad to 5Jd. Skins j to 1 woolled N. 8., O^d; pelts, ehort wool, 8;{d; lambs, lOd; lambs, shorn, 9kl; dead, hul to Bjd; butchers' half dry and green, is lOd to 5s 7d, to 6s 5d to 7s to 7s Id : butchers' lambs, 29 Gd to 5s Sd to 6s ; salted, Gs 2d.

Tallow^ —In casks, 203 9d; tins, 17s; rough fat, 14s to 16s 9d ; cow tails, Is 6d doz ; horse hair, Is 6d.
