New Measures(By Electric Telegraph—Copyright). (Per Press Association.) Received May 18, at 1.5 a.m. LONDON, May 17. Mr Llo.yd-George introduced a Bill to take in 1908 a compulsory census of Home industries for 1907. The employers would be requested to furnish confidential information about the material used, hours of work, persons employed, wages paid, and plant in use. Mr Chamberlain heartily supported the measure, remarking that ali were agreed on the desirability of securing reliable statistics. Mr Will Crookes' Bill to secure travelling facilities tor Commoners in tho discharge of parliamentary duties was i road a first time.
