Germany Alarmed
(By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) (Per Press Association.) Received May 17, at 9.17 p.m. BERLIN, May 16. The Berlin semi-official press state that Great Britain and Russia are on the eve of completing a treaty safeguardingthe present Asiatic possessions of both countries and also regulating the position of both in Persia. The German newspapers are alarmed at the appearance of entirely new combinations of Powers in Europe.
