Golf.
The ladies of the local Golf Club held two competitions yesterday. The results were as follows: —Senior: Miss Slack (18) 8 down, Ist; Mrs Mellsop (201 4 down 2nd. Junior : Mrs Milton (20* 7 down, Ist ; Miss Warburton and Miss E Mc Lennan (tie) 2nd. Next Saturday a team from "Wanganui will play the local club at Hokowhitu.
