After the telegraph offiue closed the vote for the Department of Lands and Survey was discussed for several hours without, any progress being made. At 820 the committee refused the suggestion of the chairman to' take the hours of adjournment for breakfast.
Afc 8.40 Mr Remington Urged the Government to give members an:hour!girespite. He.hoped the Minister would agree to give them as much consideration as was neue3sary for even a brute beast.
Mr Hall Jones suggested the committee should pass thtt Innds and Survey Department estimate acd then adjourn till 2 30.
