There was splendid, weather for the Marlborough Racing Club's spring meeting, and a good attendance. The sum put through the totalisator was £2632, an increase of £222 on last year. Eesults:— ■ Hack Hurdles—Jeanne d'Albert 1, Seaweed 2, Mooi 8. Also started : Waka, Tuatahi, and De Wet. Won easily by six lengths. Time, 2mm 55 see. Diy, £1 19s.
Maiden—Tiwha 1, Eekapai 2, Manupango 3. Also started: Marseilles, Error, Blue llose, St. Ludlam. Won comfortably by three lengths. Time, 1 mm 4 1-5 sec. Divs, £2 5s and £3 lls. Blue Eose fell before starting, and was incapacitated.
Blenheim Handicap—Tfirceiet 1, Wai. toa 2, Cyrus 3; Also started: Catereas. Won comfortably by a length. Time, 2min 14Jsec. Div., £2 10s.
Spring Handicap—Kose Petal and Togos dead heat 1, Queen Bess 3. Also started : Transvaal, Languid and Merrybell. Time, lmin 18sec. Divs., Togos £1 Us, Eose Petal £1 2s.
First Trot— Welcome.Mary 1, Czarina 2, Bogey 3. Won easily. Time, 2min 57sec. Divs., £412s and £3 14s.
Welter—Hoity Tjity 1, Ardchattan 2, Tiwha 3. Also started: Mooi, Cateress, Transvaal and Saraband.- Won by four lengths. Time, lmin 32sec. Divs., £5 6s and £1.
Flying—Sir Galahad 1, Promotion 2, Pure Silver 3. All started. "Won by three lengths. Time, lmin 17 l-ssec. Divs-, £4, 9s and £1 4s.
Electric—St. Ludlam 1, Skylark 2, Togos 3. Also started: Sedgmere and Languid. Won by a head. Time, lmin 4^sec. Divs., £14 and 13s.
