Hurdle Handicap, 1-J- miles.—Defoe 11.3; Tekohau 10.8, Miss King 10.7, Morelli and Jeanne D'Albert 9.S r Hokio 9.6; Peruvian 9.4; De Wet and Locked 9.0. Demonstration Handicap, one mile and a distance—Sea Lion 8.12, Tomairangi 8.6, Position 7.9, Aureole 6.7.
Flying Handicap, six furlongs—-To-mairangi 8.10, Ngatarua 8.3, WaStakaho 7.12, Heritas, Hippodrome 7.10, Coxswain 7.8, President 7.3, Amelia (late Rangi) 6.10.

Maiden Plate, six furlongs—Cecile, Windlass, Quartz, Malosi, Olaf, Swop, Pistola, Redbird, Miss Terina, Cavarel Spur, Seagull, St. Winifred, Olivia.
.(Per Press Association). PAHIATUA, This day. The local Racing Club last night decided to increase the amount of stakes for two days' racing to _SI.OOO. WOODVILLE,^TUis Bay, The Woodville Jockey Club last night accepted the tender of Clayton and Co., of Dannevirke, for the erection of a new stewards' stand and offices which are to be completed for the December meeting; also the tender of A. E. Lawrence for painting the whole of the buildings. CHRISTCHURCH- This day. Halberdier was scratched for all engagements at the C.J.C. meeting this afternoon.
