A curious acfc'on has been entered in the High Court, New York, by Charles Cole, claiming £1000 from Augusta Barber. The plaintiff alleges that the defendant's dog bit his child fourteen months ago. No physical harm resulted, but doctors allege that the'child's disposition has changed entirely. Formerly he was cheerful and animated, but now he is morose and melancholic. The plaintiff claims compensation for moral and intellectual damage sustained not only by the child, but by the entire family.
