Scottish Entertainers.
The Dunedin Star publishes the following in reference to the Scottish Entertainers,, who appear at the Zealandia Hall to-night:—r" Miss Donaldson's is absolutely the- best soprano voice ever heard here from a Scottish entertainer. It is a rich, full, clear voice, eminently musical in its mezzo range, used also with peculiarly good effect asto enunciation, thereby revealing in all its charni her pure and easily followed Scottish accent. Mr Gavin Spence likewise satisfied all present. He sings well, his ten6r voice, noticeably true as to intonation, being heard to great advantage in ' The Hundred Pipers,' • Afton'.. Water,' etc. "He also plays Miss Donaldson's accompaniments in. a peculiarly sympathetic style, and his talking between whiles is invariably amusing. He. is acceptable ■to- othersvbesides-'the Scotch;.for he impersonates the character of his stories with versatility and imparts the true , Scottish flavour to his descriptions ot everyday life."
