The Advance on Mukden.

Russian Reinforcements.
LONDON, Oct. 3. The Times' correspondent, lately with Kuroki's headquarters staff, has returned toTokio.
He reports that the "Russians have two divisions at Hun-ho, four at Mukden, and the remainder at Tiehling, which they are extensively fortifying. Oyama's armies are twenty miles northwards of Liaoyang in their original order.
The bridging of the Taitse is complete and the troops and artillery are across.
Thousands of coolies are employed in completing the northern side of Liaoyang, as a precaution against any ultimate attack. There are also other evidences that General Oyama is thoroughly securing his conquered positions before resuming the general advance. Several Japanese detachments are in the mountains eastward of Tiehling. General Kuropatkin, at Tiehling, in welcoming the arrival of the reinforcements, ordered the immediate removal of the women and children.
Beuter's Tokio correspondent says there are indications that the next big engagement will be at Tiehling. General Kuropatkin is holding the Mukden position along the Hun-ho only temporarily in order to check the Japanese advance.
The first Japanese train brought to Liaoyang quantities of ammunition, telegraph and railway supplies. French advices state that Grand Duke Nicholas Nieolaevitch has declined the Commandership-in-Chief.
