The Wool Market.

LONDON, Sept. 30. Fifty thousand bales of wool were sold for Home consumption, 80,000 for the Continent, and ,4000 for America ; 2509 were held over.

Compared with the closing sales of July, the series were all good, and medium combing merinos advanced 5 per cent. Good greasers went up slightly more, but faulties' to short scoured, of which there wa3 a heavy supply, declined about 5 per cent. Ordinary shabby crossbred was unchanged. Medium advanced 5 per cent. •Coarse, suitable for America, went np 5 to 10 per cent., and best merino and lamb's sold at very full rates. Faulties and shorts declined 5 per cent., and crossbreds were, unchanged. , The sales included the brands-— Severn 12H Searle 16d-d, Glenquoich 10. d.
