The N. Z. Loan and Mercahtilo Agency Company," Ltd., Palmerston. North, report as follows:— During the week sales have been held at Tnihape, North and FeiLi: ', and a clearing sale on behalf of Mi-H. Webster.

At Taihape, a fair yarding of cattlo •came forward, although a large numbei: were stopped 'on account of the road<_ being blocked. There was a good enquiry for young cattle and fat cows. At Palmerston on Thursday cattlo came forward in excess of advertised numbers. The yarding consisted principally of female. stock. Several pens of backward. 2-year, heifers in. calf-sold without reserve, realised from £8 10s to £4. Prices all round seemed a .little fii-ner than the previous .week. ■••■ At .Feilding on Friday very few. sheep came-forward. There was a"good yarding of cattle consisting principally of 3-year-old store bullocks from Apiti, which met a good sale. At Mr H. Webster's clearing sale of contractor's plant, good prices were secured for the horses, and. the implements brought fair times values. • Quotations:—■
