Sales were held at Levin on 23rd. insf. and at Palinerston on the 29fch. At both places we had large entries of cattle, bufc sheep were "barely represented. The' demand for cattle shows a considerable tendency to slacken off, and prices favor purchasers. All classes of sheep are in demand and we have numerous enquiries which we are unable to satisfy, for good hoggets and ewes off the shears. Early shorn store sheep will meet a good market.
