DUNEDIN, September 28.

The Primat6, as a visitor to St. John's College, Auckland, has given his decision in a case submitted to him. It is probable the effect of this decision will enable the Warden of the College to withdraw his resignation. Rev. E. G. Edwards, for many years Vicar of St Paul's Anglican Church, died this evening. He was an old colonist, and before the creation of the diocese was for some time im atdean. He -was appointed archdeacon after Bishop Nevill, taking charge of the diocese on St Paul's being taken over for cathedral purposes "The archdeacon ratired on a pension and after resigned the position aB archdeacon^
