Itchiness of the Skin. — -o— Ever have any eruption of the skin ?■ There are many forms, 'of it, any of them 'bad enough to tax your patience. Hemorrhoid a plague of the night, no rest .for the sufferer from this complaint. Eczema, too ; hives don't sound dangerous, but they cause much misery to those unfortunate enough to be troubled with them. Doan's Ointment is a "wonder" for any such trouble. No troublesome irritation of the skin.can resist-its soothing, healing influence.! Lots of Palmerston people know this now : Mrs Nicholson, Gisborne St., thia town, says : —"Six. months ago I began to get a terrible itchiness of the skin. It kept to one part, nevler spreading, but it could not be treated with any good results, until I got Doan's Ointment a couple; of months ago at Whiteford's pharmacy. I had used a good many remedies before I got this, but it was just a waste of time and money using them. Doan's Ointment .cured me entirely. I have since recommended this ointment to several'and they speak highly of it." - Doan's Ointment is splendid in all diseases of the skin, eczema, piles, hives,, insect bites, sores, chilblains, etc. It is perfectly safe and very effective. Loan's Oantmsnt is sold by all chemists and itor^kf/opo^s at 3s ceipt of price by Foster-McClellan per box, or will be posted on ieCo., 76 Pitt-Street, Sydney, Few South Wales? „ But be sure it is Doan's.-
BLACK BUT COMELY. This is the title of a well-known work of fiction, but this is ouite another story. Our practical obligations are such that we are bound to take advantage of anything which tends to greater achievements and success. .. Farmers must be on the " gui vive " y to maintain their stock at their fullest producing capacity as cheaply and effectively as possible. Molasses, a waste product in the manufacture of sugar, will keep their horses in prime condition, give a shine to their coats, increase then* vigour, strengthen their constitutions. Dairy cows, if fed on a bucket of molasses diluted with water, will keep in condition and their milk supply will be increased at least 25 per cent. Sheep will eat hay sprinkled with molasses ravenously and thrive on it. "Why it has not been generally used is because the price has been prohibitive. The United Farmers' Co-op. has just completed a purchase of 50 tons at such a price as will place it in the hands of consumers at just half the cost that has been quoted formerly. Special prices for hogsheads containing about one-third of a ton. Ask for quotations and you will surely buy.
