ON the despatch of the Antarctic Expedition, the firm of JOHN BEOaDWOOD & SONS provided a Broadwood Pianoforte for use on the Discovery. On the return of the vessel, Mr Eoyds, chief officer of the Antarctic Exploration Ship Discovery, had the i piano examined by a tuner, and he re T ports that the instrument, after two and a half years' endurance of all the rigours of an Antarctic climate, is practically as good as ever.
