Abraham and Williams' Palirierston horse sale on Saturday will commence at 12.30, the time- being altered owing to the horse parade being held at 2 p.m. Entries for Abraham and Williams' Shannon sale arc advertised to-day. At Iris mart, on Saturday, Harry Palmer will sell boots and shoes, jewellery, and a great variety of sundries. A meeting of bowlers interested in the formation of a new club is called for Monday, Sept. 21, at Mr Lissaman's pharmacy.
A special meeting of members of the Farmers' Union will he held on Saturday to further deal with the veterinary surgeon question.
