; ' The Palmerston.-.Band- Bazaar was again open to the public last night, and was most liberally patronised. Those in charge of the stalls had a busy time at-' tending to the wants of the many visitors. The side-shows, too, were not idle, and made the fullest use of then- time.
Some Awapuni natives provided entertainment in the shape of a poi-daiice, which was watched with interest by those present.
The various competitions were keenly contested by a large number of competitors.
Mr W. Kirk and Mrs Clark received prizes for. nail-driving, and Mr J.Tait for hat-trimming. To-night the Maoris will give a haka, and a skipping competition for girls will be held.
On Thursday evening, a mouth organ competition, a skipping competition for girls, and an exhibition of drill by Campbell street school cadets will be among the attractions; and on Friday night a singing competition, spelling for girls, also wand drill by Campbell street school girls, under Mr C. H. Warden.
