(By Electric Telegraph—Copyright). (Received September 21, at 7.34 a.m.) ROME, Sept. 20. A miners' strike led to a conflict with the police in Sardinia. Three miners were killed. Tins resulted in strikers protesting throughout Italy, and several were killed in various towns.

A meeting at Lugano protested against the policy of Premier Giolitti.

-A number of protesters tore down the escutcheon on the Italian Consulate, dragged it,through the streets, and then threw it into a lake.
