Painless Extraction of Teeth.
The new anaesthetic used by Mr "W. A. Prowse for the painless extraction of teeth has been successfully used, in Wangaiiui by local medical men'and they give great praise to its ■ marvellous healing properties. It has been used in operations for hernia and canceiV and in every case" the patient haVfelt no paia from the knife/, 'About "two weeks ago practically.the' whole of a lower lip was removed, whilst in another case the cheek was opened to permit a portion of the molar bone to be laid bare. Mjc Prowse visits Palmerston on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays in each week and in addition to the anaesthetic he brings with him a Barth's nasal inhalor outfit for administering gas, by means of which any number of teeth may be extracted at one sitting.'
