Rangitikei Steeplechase Meeting.

. To-morrow the Rangitikei Racing Club will commence its Spring meeting at Balls. The "fine weather experienced during the past few days has had a most beneficial effect on the track, and given fine weather to-morrow and the next day, some very interesting racing should be witnessed, as the fields in each event .are remarkably good, both flat and jumping races filling equally well. At this early stage in. the season- when -form is practically an unknown quantity, it is niore than usually difficult to select probable winners, but the following may be handy at the business end of the different races:— '

Flying Handicap-Armistice, Full Cry, Matuku. ■

- Maiden Hack—Submarine, Present, St. Joe.

' Pukehoe ■ Hack Hurdles—Jewel Gun, Jonquil, Valkyrie. "Willow Bank Hack—Cairngorm, Benmore, Hamua.

Bongitikei Steeplechase-Merry Boy, Sabreur, The Turk.

Spring Handicap —Convoy, Armistice, Jeanne'd'Arc.

Rangitoto Hack Handicap—Guelder Kose, Sleepwell, Togos. Train and coach services will convey intending visitors to Bulls in plenty of time for the .first race, which starts at 12.30 p.ni.
