Wedding Bells.

Banu—Rowling;

■-^ vcry. pretty wedding;I' which aroused much local interest, took place on^September 14th at the residence of Mi-Thbs. Rowling, Hiwinui, the happy couple being Mr Thos. Henry Dunn, third son of the late Martin Dunn, of Temuka-, (Can-' tcrbury) and Miss Ethel May, eldest daughter of Mr Thos. Rowling, of Hiwinui, and formerly of Nelson. The Rev. Mr Mather was the officiating clergyman. The bride, who was given away by her father, was attired in a handsome travelling dress of blue trimmed with chiffon. She also wore the orthodox veil and orange blossoms and carried a beautiful shower bouquet. The bridesmaids, Misses Hilda and Pearl Eowling, wore pretty white silk dresses and also carried shower bouquets. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Harold Rowling as best man. The bridegroom's present to the bride was a handsome gold bangle and to the bridesmaids gold brooches. After the ceremony a large number of friends and relatives sat down to a sumptuous wedding breakfast. The Rev. Mr Mather in a neat speech proposed the health of the bride and bridegroom, wishing them health, happiness and prosperity. A number of other toasts were duly honoured.
