A well attendod committoo meotiug of the übnvo was hold in tho Secretary's rodivift'lnst-evening, Mr Guy occupying tho chair.
Tho plan, of the show arrangements was approved of, and tho several spacos nllotod for- exhibitors of poultry requisites, which are now available on application to the secretary. Mr W. Mathieson was appointed to erect the nccessar) pens at the show.
Mr A; Guy was appointed a delegate to tho meeting to bo held in Auckland on tho 20:h inst, for tho purposo of forming a North Island Association, which will bo a decided benefit to the various societies.
A number of new members wero elected, and pens for tho show hayo boiii secured from tho Wellington Society.
It has boon decided to ask the Govoumonfc to appoint inspectors to inspect salerooms and other places where birtU are exhibited and exposed for sale, in order to prevent diseased birds being sold to tho public.
The next meeting of the committee will bo hold on Y/ednosdny ovening 2nd July, at 7 o'clook, when the prize list will bo allotted, and details arranged in connection with tho show.
Tbe committee appointed to canvas the,dJßtrict for donations to tbo,show have met with marked success, and altogether the show, to bo held on tho jJOtb and 81st July, promises to bo an immense success.
