Conciliation Deadlock.
(Per Press Assoeialion.) Auckland, Wednesday. A deadlock has occurred at the Conciliation Board in regard to tho appointment of a Chairman in placo ol the Rev. Mr Collins (resigned). Tnc labour members nominated the Rev. Mr Burgess, but tho others insisted that the Chairman should be a lawyer or other person with Jc-nl or commercial qualifications to adjudicate on points submitted for tho chait man's ruling. They oil-rod to accept ono of ten names they submitted, but tho labour members declined. A similar deadlock occurred on a previous occasion, when tho Government appointc.l the Ucv. Mr Collins, tho nominee of the labour representative.
