Conciliation and Arbitration.
(Per Press Association.)
Wellington', Wedneiday. The report presented at the animal meeting of the Wellington Employers' Association stated that the auswer/sent by members of the association to questions relating to their experience ol the working of the Conciliation and Arbitration Act, showed that a large majority were strongly opposed to the Act both with its principle and operation. In Canterbury and Auckland answers have been received by the local association on similar lines. In Otaco the results were not to hand, but tho practical outcome of tho enquiry was to absolutely contradict tho statement so otteu put forward that tlie employers in tho colony were generally favourable to the act. ■
