Kelvin Grove.

Tho concert at Kelvin Grove la3t evening was v great success, many visitors from the town, Fitzhcrbert, and other places being present. Tho following was tho programme submitted : — Overture, Miss Bennett; song, " Victory, '' Mr A. E. liermeit, eneoro "Dolly Gray " ; song, " Flowers," Miss Clicrrett ; violin solo, " Lust Ixose of Summer," Miss McKenzie, eneoro, " Among tho Heather " ; recitation, "Kissing Cup's Bacc," Mr Haybiitlo. Tho audience demanded an encore, liut Mr Haybittlo bowed his acknowledgements ; trio, mandoli.i, guitar and banjo, Messrs Cornwall Bros, and J. Pickering; song, " The Longshoreman," Mr V. Cornwall, encore, " Doreen"; comic *onp, " 1 don't love Nobody," Mr ,1. E. Hull, encore, " Mary's gone with a coon" ; soug, " Sal'y's Revenge," Miss Cherrett; recitation, " The Reception," Mr 11. W. Haybittle, encore, " Blue Hen" ; duet from " Norma," llio Misses MuK'jnzie; eong, " Truo till DeaUi," Mr A. H. Bennett ; banjo, guitar, and mandolin, Mr .1. Pickering and Messrs Cornwall Bros.; soDg, " Link Divine," Mis 3 Bennett, (Miss McKenzie placing the violin obligato); song, " Sons of the Sea,'' Mr .1. E. Hall, encored. At the conclusion of tho concert the singers wero invited to light refreshments provided by the Indies. Tho accompaniments wero played by Mrs McK.cnzie, Mies Bennett, and Mr Cornwall. The hull wns then cleared for dancing, a largo mmibiT taking part in the light fantastic. Mr F. Lovelock officiated ns M.C., and dancing was kept up until a latn hour.

Mr Collinson, on behalf of llio Committee, warmly thanked those who had assisted at the concert, and especially alluded to the obligation the Committee wore under to Mr .1. A. Nash, who had an'ungod nml curried out the concert with jucli ti^iml success.
