In connection with t lie question of the disposal of the Patriotic Fuud the Mayor of Wanganui (Mi- A. Hatrick) has telegraphed to the Acting Premier i (Hon. J. (.!. Ward) as follows:—" I ' quite agree with suggestion that a Central Committeesliould bo appointed to whom all funds now in the hands of various committees and that may be collected should be handed. They should doal with all cases throughout the colony, present committees acting as Advisory Committees to central body on all cases in their respective "'stricts. About IC3 men are now at the front from this district. Some k--)obO was subscribed hero and w« have several hundreds on hand." The Executive Officers of the Wellington District Ancient Order of foresters resolved last night that the District Chief Ranger (Bio. T. Kerfiliaw) and the District Secretary (Bro Vr' ", hlteford) should attend the Way or s meeting to make arrangements for a public demonstration at the conclusion of the war. The Defence Department has prepared and printed a complete list of the names and occupations and districts of members of the various Contingents sent from x\ew Zealand.
