THE RECENT ENGAGEMENT AT LINDLEY.
London, June 3. The casualties sustained by General Bundle at Lindley wer« chiefly owing to che accidental firing of the veldt, exposing the troops to the fire of the enemy.
During the engagement Sir John De Villiers was seriously wounded.
