FREEMASONS AT BLOEMFONTEIN.

Lord Roberts, who was expected to attend tne regular meeting of the Rising Star Lodge of Freemasons, bloemfontein, on Monday night, April 20, was unfortunately compelled to send an apology for non-attendance. Lord Kitchener, who was District Grand Master in Egypt and the Soudan, attended as the Field Marshal's proxy, and with a number o£ distinguished military craftsmen, was accorded a very hearty reception. An address of congratulation to the Right Worthy Grand Master of England, 11. R.H. the lnnceof Wales, was passed, on the motion of Lord Kitchener, for Lord Roberts, and seconded by the Worshipful Master of the Lodge, Brother Harburger.
