This is a first-class Turnip Manure, and is specially recommended for ivet or sour holds. SPECIAL POTATO MANURE —£5 PfiE TON. KAINIT'! The addition of & small propoition of Kainit to any of the Mixtures is on advantage, and can be made without extra charge if specified by th 3 purchaser when giving the order. RIIXING! The Manures are not mixid until the ! orders are sent out, and purchasers at their j option can hive the original manures sent ■, to them in the makers' bpgs and make the. j mixtures themselves. j SPECIAL MIXTURES can be made at ■ any time to euit farmers. , ROTE—The "M" Manure gave the besrt results in proportion to cost out of nineteen experiments with Champion Swede Turnips . at the Government Experimental Farm, at I Mornahaki, m 1897 (see page 170, Fifth Be- ! i per* of Agricultural Department) :— The experiments made at Momohaki with various Manures upen Turnips in tha Bsason 1898-1899 show that the best result I was obtained from a mixture of one-third etearoed bone dust and two-thirds basic slag (Thomas' Phosphate), whilst tha best result, at a minimum cost, was from a mixture of ons-third h wea' Superphosphate and two* thiedd of the W.M.E Co.'s " M" Manure. The latter mixture contains the same components aa the W.M.B. Co.'b No. 3 Mixturs, the propurtions beinj? a little difierent. The former combination points to the fact, now generally recognised, that the value of basio alag, also knewn ts Thomas' Phosphate, has hsen greatly undor-eatimated. The VV.M.E. Co.'s No 4 Mixture contains onethird of Thomas' Phosphate. A perusal of the report of Mr Gillandera, the'manager at Momohiki, embodying (he resu't? of tha experiments referred to, which will bs found in the Seventh Eeport of the Department of Agriculture, would amply repay any farmer who finds a difficulty in selecting the most suitable manures.
