The Municipal Association of New Zealand has sent out a memo to every Borough in the Colony dealing succinctly with the powers of Borough Councils in dealing with nuisances and infection. The S.M. gave judgment to-day in two cases brought against the owners of houses who had resisted condemnation by the Municipal authorities. The condemnation was upheld. Mr Haselden commented on the diversity of opinion among medical men on so simple a subject as the sanitary orinsanitry condition of a building and expressed surprise tha they should be unable to agree.
